Acupuncture is tremendously effective for pain and injury. Relief is often immediate. Acupuncture stimulates the deep healing of tissues, muscles, fascia and joints unlike medications which often simply mask pain and have no particular healing aspects associated with them.

Sharon often combines deep tissue body work with acupuncture to attain maximum relief from pain or injury. Postural analysis may be part of your appointment, as well as a prescription for simple exercises or stretches to assist in your recovery from injury or relief from pain.

Though a patient often experiences relief in their first treatment, follow up treatments are recommended to eradicate discomfort altogether and attain full recovery. Generally it is best to have a few treatments close together at the beginning of treatment (3 treatments within the first 10 days) then spread treatments out (1X/week) until symptoms are alleviated. A course of treatment is generally 6-10 treatments.
